LYME GALA RAISES OVER $600,000 FOR CRITICALLY IMPORTANT RESEARCH AND EDUCATION
Actors, musicians and scientists united in the hope of creating a Lyme free world Time for Lyme’s 8th Fundraiser
Greenwich, CT – Time for Lyme (TFL), a research, education and advocacy organization brought together an inspiring group of actors, musicians and scientists at its biennial gala fundraiser for Lyme disease awareness, research and an ultimate cure on Saturday, April 18, 2009, 7pm, at the Greenwich Hyatt. Over 400 guests participated in this exciting event which raised more than $600,000 for critically important research and education.
Nobel Laureate Professor Luc Montagnier was awarded Time for Lyme’s Lauren F. Brooks Hope Award for his global perspective on infectious diseases, including Lyme disease.
Actor, Director and Writer Lou Diamond Phillips, who recently joined the fight against Lyme disease, was presented Time for Lyme’s 2009 Humanitarian Award.
