- Reached over 8,000 people with our educational forums and community health fairs. TFL has informed thousands of others on its website TimeForLyme.org, at support groups, fundraising events and through organizing public hearings. Educational packets have been distributed to thousands of individuals and families;
- Created a partnership with Columbia University Medical Center and the national Lyme Disease Association to establish and endow a Lyme and Tick-borne Disease Research Center in New York City at Columbia. $3 million have been donated towards the opening of this Center;
- Raised significant dollars by fundraising, which has been the cornerstone of our success. With the completion of six major events: Time For Lyme, Time for Lyme in New York, Time For Lyme at the Lymelight, Time For Lyme Rocks Miami’s South Beach, Explore for a Cure in New Canaan and A Rockin’ House Party, we have been able to donate $2 million dollars to support the Columbia Lyme and Tick-borne Disease Research Center and education programs;
- Created a one-hour video, “A Time for Lyme— Students, Teachers and Lyme Disease,” in partnership with the Greenwich Department of Health and Greenwich Public Schools, which is currently distributed in 23 states, the District of Columbia and Canada;
- Developed and implemented an educational curriculum in partnership with Greenwich Public Schools which includes two films, reproducible material and evaluations;
- Established a monthly support group for patients and families suffering with Lyme disease;
- Produced, in partnership with the Red Cross, a travel tick removal kit;
- Together with the national Lyme Disease Association and our nation-wide affiliates, lobbied state and national legislatures for Lyme disease patient/doctor legislation and for the appropriation of governmental research funds;
- Featured in the award-winning PBS documentary on Lyme disease, narrated by actress Meryl Streep;
